Tonight’s topics include a roundtable from those who attended the Adsense In Your City meetup last month. Google’s bringing out an exciting new product, the DoubleClick AdServer (http://www NULL.google NULL.com/doubleclick/),that might save you a lot of time if you use multiple ad networks!
How do you get invited to these things? Well, the first step is to make sure Adsense can contact you! Edit your settings to receive email from Adsense. They don’t email very often, but they do have a newsletter and that’s how to be notified of future events.
Adsense Dashboard -> Account Settings -> Personal Settings (edit) -> select your preferences!
Adsense also has a blog, Inside Adsense (http://adsense NULL.blogspot NULL.com/) and a must-watch video on how to get your content (http://adsense NULL.blogspot NULL.com/2012/02/watch-our-video-to-learn-how-to NULL.html) and Adsense to integrate. Really, this video covers all the basics on how to make your blog play nice with Google.
Where should you put your ads? Check out this graphic for Adsense placement (http://support NULL.google NULL.com/adsense/bin/answer NULL.py?hl=en&answer=1354747&topic=1250106&ctx=topic/)!
